Milestones on the beach ~ A first and a third

This weekend my dad and I ran in the inaugural New Smyrna Beach “Sundae” 5K fun run!

So why was this little run on the beach so special?

FIRST – It was the first official race / run my dad has participated in since he transplant!! And he rocked it 🙂

SECOND – Well, there is no second but:

THIRD – Was what I placed for my age group! I’ve never gotten any thing but a finisher’s medal at race before so this was rather exciting for me!! Not to mention my best 5K time in a long time 27:35…beach is doing wonders for this PT student.
