What time is it? Adulting Time (I mean…ADVENTURE TIME!!)
As promised at the end of 2016, “acupaday” was going to take on a new form. From its inception many years ago, the blog has changed and morphed just like it’s writer. I am no longer the sleep deprived graduate student essentially hooked up to a 24 hour coffee drip, hooray for adulting * ! (*mild drip of sarcasm) Now don’t get me wrong coffee is most certainly still in the mix. Generally though, it is sipped from my Adventure Time travel mug (yes, yes, I wouldn’t want to get TOO adult).
Without a daily influx of canvases (i.e. coffee cups), this gal was presented with a problem. Then someone introduced me to Artist Trading Cards, basically a blank 2.5″ x 3.5″ card that is PERFECT for my needs. Plus it makes them so easy to travel, should anyone be interested in supporting my charity of the month and getting an awesome piece of art in exchange. (see more details here: own a card.)

Extra extra read all about it: Adulting is hard.
I have also realized that being an adult is HARD! I know, not really a news flash. However, sometimes it seems I find myself up in bed at the end of a long day and I don’t know where the time went. In order to dedicate more time to the things I love, “acupaday” will become more structured and due to my life-long-love of alliteration 😉 this is what I came up with:
- Mindfulness Monday – Cristina’s insights on the yogic tradition and its role in physical therapy and life in general.
- Wellness Wednesday – A focus on prevention, exercise, and total mind/body wellness.
- Diagnosis Donnerstag – OK, so there is no day of the week that starts with “D” in English, so I went to my next language, German! On Donnerstag (Thursday) I’ll focus common diagnoses that I see as a physical therapist and ways your PT can help. #choosePT!
That being said, this blog will stay “acupaday.” I believe it is important to remember where I started and where I have been … even as I look ahead to all the many possibilities!
The first cups, all the way back from 2012.
So stay tuned friends, I look forward to reaching out more frequently. Be sure to contact me if you have any suggestions for topics of any of my new themed days !
