As student physical therapists we are learning to screen cranial nerves. The CN VIII test involves whispering certain words into your patient’s ear and having them repeat it back you. These are acceptable: “Red, dog, Arizona” “Blue, snow, Colorado” This is not: Purple, monkey, cowboy PS: Monkey cowboys? Totally exists: ……….giddy-up…….. YOU. ARE. WELCOME.

Hippocampus means seahorse…actually is it the genus for seahorse if you really want to get your biology on. ( W00t taxonomic ranks! ) your hippocampus is responsible for memory. I’m going to need my brain’s seahorse pretty hard this weekend. I hope mine is this cute 🙂
