Working through musculoskeletal cases always leaves me with a lot of questions…. it is satisfying when I have a few that I can answer concretely !!
When looking at a patient’s medications, you may see:
Tylenol PRN – which essentially just means they take it as needed for their pain.
Ok, I know what it means…but what does PRN stand for?
As most things in medicine, it has Latin origins:
Pro re nata
“As the circumstances arises”
Ahhhh, clarity.
*lightbulb*
I always meant to look that up…. once again, I get schooled by one of your cups (in a good way, of course)
Well, we’ve got so much ground to cover…no way we can do it alone. I love my new seat in front of you and Molly provides many opportunities for “schooling” in the good way. 🙂
