“The unicorn lived in a lilac wood, and she lived all alone…

…She was very old, though she did not know it, and she was no longer the careless color of sea foam but rather the color of snow falling on a moonlit night. But her eyes were still clear and unwearied, and she still moved like a shadow on the sea.”

Peter S. Beagle, the author of one of my favorite books “The Last Unicorn” was in town last week. He is on tour screening the film adaptation of the book. What a fantastic and surreal evening I had with my wonderful sister.  We met Mr. Beagle, learned about his inspiration and struggles with the book, and talked to many other fans clad in some of the best cos-play I’ve seen in a while.

“there never is a happy ending because nothing ever ends.”
