You may have guessed by now, that I was struck with a serious case of Wanderlust this summer. [A chronic condition in my case but occasionally there are flare ups that have only one panacea…]
After exploring beautiful Seattle (check it out: anatomy and yoga), I crossed the pond to meet my sister and return to the closest and dearest place the Romagnoli girl’s have to a hometown:
Wiesbaden, Germany ❤
It has been several years since we’ve been back home and it was such a beautiful thing to explore with Ashlinn . On our journeys in Deutschland we visited the neighboring town of Mainz, the birth place of Johannes Gutenberg and the current location of the incredible museum housing his original Bible.
Recall, that our friend JG introduced printing in Europe with his invention of mechanical movable type starting a full on PRINTING REVOLUTION, laying the groundwork for the development of the Renaissance, Reformation, Age of Enlightenment, scientific revolution…. WOAH.
So, what more can you say to the individual who was responsible for the revolution that spread learning to the masses?
Liebe Herr Gutenberg, danke!
Oh, and if you are interested in a modern linguistic revolution check out: Project Gutenberg which offers thousands of free ebooks! Yup, it is awesome.
